Abstract
Nahum the Potter:
Nahum, a skilled craftsman displaced by the Syrian invasion, finds security in the house of the wealthy Gedaliah. Gedaliah prospers by his servant's efforts, and dreams of the day he can reward Nahum. But Nahum has other plans.

Back for the Dead:
Micha, the gentle tanner of Beth Zor, falls under the horror of leprosy. Rumor has it that there is a Prophet from Galilee who does not reject the victims of evil.

The Daughters of Israel:
Two stories of Jewish women intertwine in Capernaum. One is the privileged princess of the region, the other has fallen under the curse of heaven innocently, Satan will not win her.

Simeon's Rotten Mat:
When you are 'born bad' there really isn't much hope in approaching a holy God. But what if His shadow falls on you.

The Shofar Sounds:
Zaccai, fleeing from the brothers of the neighbor he accidently killed, escapes to a city of refuge. Only after the death of the High Priest will he again be free.
